We send you a 4K camcorder before your event, your loved ones film the moments they know you’ll want to remember, and after the weekend, our editing team turns the footage into a nostalgic wedding video that feels personal, candid, and completely yours.
Receiving your camcorder
Your Wedding Weekender box will arrive 3-4 days before your event with your camcorder all ready to record with one fully charged battery and empty memory card already placed in the device.
Your box will also include additional batteries to bring along for your weekend and you can easily swap out when your first battery dies (which will be after about 3 hours of recording). We’ll also include a charger in your box in case it’s needed throughout the weekend.

The beauty of Wedding Weekender is your special moments will be authentically captured by the people who love you most. We want to help you plan ahead with ideas for unforgettable footage while still keeping the spontaneity that makes these recordings so precious.
In your Wedding Weekender box, we’ll include a recommended shot list of moments to try to capture over your weekend. For example, making sure your father’s speech or ceremony vows don’t go uncaptured. Whether it’s your trusted bridesmaid capturing you getting ready, your aunt recording the ceremony, or your brother running around the dance floor, we want to make sure you go into your weekend feeling good about your moments being captured.
Capture your wedding weekend
Wedding weekend is here! Your camcorder is all ready to go, you’ve tested it, and your loved ones know what they’re capturing.
Your provided memory card can also store up to 8 hours of 4K footage. If you need immediate assistance during your wedding weekend, our support team is available to help resolve any issues quickly.
Ship back your camcorder
We can’t wait to see all of the moments you captured! To return your camcorder, all you have to do is pack it up in the box it was initially shipped in — be sure to include everything from the original box. We include a prepaid shipping label to add to the outside of the box. Once packed, just drop the package off at your local UPS. We kindly ask that you please return the camcorder by the last day of your rental period, which is normally within 72 hours of your event.
Edit time!
As soon as your camcorder arrives, our passionate editing team jumps right in to work their magic on your captured moments.
Within 2-3 weeks, we’ll have your raw footage beautifully organized and ready for you to review. Then the real fun begins! In the following 4-7 weeks, we’ll craft your complete wedding video, transforming those precious moments into a cinematic keepsake you’ll cherish forever.

FAQs
How far in advance do I need to book?
We recommend booking as soon as you know you want Wedding Weekender for your event. Booking 4-6 months in advance can help guarantee availability, especially if your wedding is during the peak season of May-October.
However, you’re welcome to book less than a month before your event date. Our calendar booking system allows you to confirm that your rental period dates are available.
When will I receive my camcorder?
Your Wedding Weekender package is guaranteed to arrive before or on your rental period start date — typically 3-4 days before your wedding date.
Is the camcorder hard to use if you’re not a videographer?
Not at all.
The camcorder is designed to be simple and guest-friendly. We include instructions and an online video tutorial so your friends and family can easily understand how to use it.
No professional experience required. Just press record and capture the moment.
What if there is an issue with my camcorder when it arrives?
We test and set up each camcorder before it’s packaged for shipping but we still recommend you follow our instructions to test your camcorder before your weekend. If for some reason the camcorder is not working, please email us at support@weddingweekender.com right away and we will expedite a new one.
What if I lose or break the camcorder during my event?
We get it. Weddings are fun. Champagne exists. Dance floors happen.
That said, the camcorder and all included rental items do need to be returned in good condition. Any lost, damaged, or unreturned items may be subject to replacement fees according to our rental agreement.
When will I receive my footage and wedding video?
We’ll share your organized raw footage within 2-3 weeks of receiving your camcorder. After organizing your footage, we’ll get to editing your wedding video and be ready to share 5-7 weeks later, depending on peak season!
Do you offer custom packages for additional camcorders or edits?
Yes. If you’re planning a larger wedding, multi-day celebration, destination wedding, or want something more custom, reach out to our team at info@weddingweekender.com and we’ll help you choose the best setup for your weekend.
What should I do if I lost my return label?
